Honoring Joe Everett: A Clearwater Bombers Legend & Community Pillar
Joe Everett was more than a standout player for the Clearwater Bombers: he was the embodiment of integrity, determination, and quiet leadership. A key contributor during the Bombers’ golden era, Joe's steady presence on the field helped fuel a dynasty that brought national acclaim to Clearwater and elevated fastpitch softball across the country.
Off the field, Joe was a respected attorney, a proud University of Florida graduate, and a dedicated community leader. He played with the Clearwater Bombers during college, managed their world championship teams in 1962 and 1963, and later served as President of the Clearwater Bar Association, the UF Alumni Association’s Clearwater Chapter, and the Kiwanis Club of Clearwater.
Joe inspired generations with his humility, work ethic, and commitment to the community he proudly called home.
In his honor, we are proud to launch the Joe Everett Trophy Restoration Fund, dedicated to preserving the hard-won history that Joe helped build. Through this fund, we aim to restore, protect, and display the Bombers’ championship trophies and memorabilia for future generations to experience and celebrate.
Because the legacy Joe helped create deserves to shine forever.
